Radio Controlled R2-D2
- Star Wars
- Wireless Control to move R2-D2 forward, backward, right and left
- Chormed head turns and red eye lights up
- Electronic Beep sounds
Force fact:
Some of you may question both the placement chronologically as well as Radio Controlled R2-D2’s insertion into the Large Size Action Figures. To the first point this toy was released very early on in 1978 and was not a later 1979 release as some have speculated. As for including it with the Large Size Figures that is simply my preference as it does not fit with Vehicles and Playsets nor with the Role Playing type of toys. Its size and appearance put it and a couple of other pieces into the category in my eyes.
That said this was one very expensive item. $25 for a toy in 1978 was insane. It was available for a few years but I do not if stores reordered the toy or if the stock just sat around. I have always been surprised that this toy has not been more popular among collectors as few had it as a kid and it is a good toy and not easy to find in good condition or factory sealed.

Princess Leia
- Star Wars
- 11 1/2 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Dressed in Alderaanian Cape with Royal Belt
- Has comb and brush for styling Star Puffs and other hairdos
Force fact:
Princess Leia, while a well made figure, comes with the lamest of accessories. Clearly gunning for the girl market she comes equipped with a comb and brush, no weapon at all. Lame. Luke and Leia seem to be the most common to find figures from this line.

Luke Skywalker
- Star Wars
- 11 3/4 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Dressed in authentic Tatooine Desert Costume with Blue Light Saber
- Has Grappling Hook and Utility Belt
Force fact:
Luke Skywalker like all of the Large Size Figures is very well made and has some nice accessories. Luke and Leia seem to be the most common to find figures from this line.

Chewbacca
- Star Wars
- The Empire Strikes Back
- 15 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Cross Bow Laser Rifle
- Ammunition belt with removable cartridges that onto Chewie’s Cross Bow
Force fact:
Chewbacca was in 15 inches tall making him and Vader the largest of the dolls for Star Wars line as well as the most expensive. Interestingly a handful of the Vaders and Chewies have appeared in ESB (The Empire Strikes Back) boxes and these are exceedingly rare.

Darth Vader
- Star Wars
- The Empire Strikes Back
- 15 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Removable cloth cape
- Comes with Red Light Saber
Force fact:
Darth Vader was in 15 inches tall making him and Chewbacca the largest of the dolls for Star Wars line as well as the most expensive. Interestingly a handful of the Vaders and Chewies have appeared in ESB (The Empire Strikes Back) boxes and these are exceedingly rare.

R2-D2
- Star Wars
- 7 1/2 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Chromed head clicks and simulated electronic circuit card
- Button on back opens secret which holds removable Death Star Plans
Force fact:
R2-D2 was in fact only 7 1/2 inches tall, not 12 inches as the line is often referenced as (i.e. 12 inch figures). R2-D2 was the least expensive of the original six Large Size Figures made in 1978.

C-3PO
- Star Wars
- 12 Inch Poseable Action Figure
- Gold metaillic finish
- Authentically detailed
Force fact:
The Large Size Action Figures sold nowhere nearly as well as their 3 3/4 inch counterparts. Speaking of counterparts, C-3PO and R2-D2 among the six released in 1978 as J.C. Penney Christmas Catalog Exclusives. Overall Kenner sold nearly 2.5 MILLION of the 12 different small figures in 1978 alone (ALONE!) and for the large figures…R2-D2 outsold the C-3PO by a mere 14,000 to 13,400.

Ewok Battle Wagon
- Power Of The Force
- Use Battle Ram to defeat the Imperial Scout Walkers
- Prisoner Cage for Imperial troops
- Ewoks direct the battle from up top
- Sides come off to reveal driving pit
- When both vehicle sides are off you can make an Ewok fort
- Front ramp comes down so the Ewoks can storm enemy strongholds
Force fact:
Actually this is a really good toy and was Kenner’s big toy release for the 1985 year. Kenner had high hopes for the Ewoks and Droids toy lines due out in 1986 and this was a prelude to the Ewoks line. At one point they had planned to re-release it in Ewok packaging but that never came to be.

Security Scout
- Power Of The Force
- Tri-logo
- Slide Figure into belt
- Attach hands to control levers and lower head communicator
- Rudder can be swiveled
Force fact:
The last of the Body Rigs the Security Scout always seemed like an odd toy to me, almost like a jet pack and somewhat redundant with the Speeder Bike around. However still another good toy to add to your Endor play.

One-Man Sand Skimmer
- Power Of The Force
- Tri-logo
- Attach Figure to foot peg on base of vehicle
- Attach hands to control handles
- Use thumb wheel to move navigation sail and laser cannon
Force fact:
One-Man Sand Skimmer was another good toy that was a really good add to the Tatooine toys. One note on this line was that the Body Rigs had the same assortment number and was the only toys that Kenner released that way with the exception of the Vinyl Cases, which maintained the same assortment number in all 5 releases.
