Force fact:
An interesting figure choice by Kenner given his limited screen time, no speaking part and generally being the definition of background character. Kenner often went with Aliens as figures especially early in the line as they work with screen shots and had not seen the film. Not so here they purposely picked this character over Grand Moff Tarkin, Wedge Antilles or another trooper. Always struck me as an odd but interesting choice. I would love to know the rational on his selection.

2.99 MOC or Free with 5 Proof of Purchases
Weapons and Accessories:

  • Absolutely nothing

Force fact:
Originally offered in 1984 as the last of the mail away figures Anakin was free with 5 Proof of Purchases.

Quite likely the worst figure made by Kenner in that he did nothing, had no accessories and, for play value, was worthless. Add to that many kids got him as a mail away. So as a result the POTF MOC Anakin figure is one of the rarest figures from Star Wars. Very tough to find on card but the easiest of the POTF, or Last 17 as they are referred to as well, to find loose.  Although there are 15 POTF figures overseas collectors refer to the line as the Last 17 as the last two figures released here in the US, Paploo and Lumat, were part of the last wave released outside the US.
