Force fact:
Luke Skywalker like all of the Large Size Figures is very well made and has some nice accessories. Luke and Leia seem to be the most common to find figures from this line.

Chewbacca was in 15 inches tall making him and Vader the largest of the dolls for Star Wars line as well as the most expensive. Interestingly a handful of the Vaders and Chewies have appeared in ESB (The Empire Strikes Back) boxes and these are exceedingly rare.

R2-D2 was in fact only 7 1/2 inches tall, not 12 inches as the line is often referenced as (i.e. 12 inch figures). R2-D2 was the least expensive of the original six Large Size Figures made in 1978.


C-3PO

Force fact:
The Large Size Action Figures sold nowhere nearly as well as their 3 3/4 inch counterparts. Speaking of counterparts, C-3PO and R2-D2 among the six released in 1978 as J.C. Penney Christmas Catalog Exclusives. Overall Kenner sold nearly 2.5 MILLION of the 12 different small figures in 1978 alone (ALONE!) and for the large figures…R2-D2 outsold the C-3PO by a mere 14,000 to 13,400.
